Protocol for Measuring Lung Ventilation calibration Set range settings at 500v and low pass at 30Hz on imput 1 spirometer pod Check flow head polarity by exhaling into mouthpiece, this should produce a downward deflection Zero spirometer pod Clip nose and breathe normally into mouthpiece, record by clicking start. o Exhale as completely as possible o Resume normal breathing for 30 seconds o Exhale as completely as possible again Click and drag in the flow graph window to select block of data just collected Select spirometer flow from the flow channel pop up menu Choose spirometer volume from the volume channel pop up menu Click use button to apply calibration then click ok to close the spirometry
