Will Cliff 11/8/09 WAC 1 DV8 Blog After spending the night at the Rose Bowl stadium in an effort to set up the alumni tailgate for my fraternity, I was pretty tired when I strolled into the Royce Hall theatre for the DV8 performance. I remembered bits and pieces from the director coming and visiting our World Arts and Cultures 1 class that Wednesday, but I really wasn’t completely sure what I was in for. Before I dive into analyzing the performance I want to say that I consider myself to be quite liberal on most fronts including gay marriage. Coming from San Francisco, I find it ridiculous that they cannot marry in most parts of our world including California. Anyways, I sat down and the performance pretty much immediately began. Right when it started my mind was taken straight back to London—where I spent much of my time this past summer. It reminded me of many of the house clubs I went to with my friends—the music, the accents, the actor’s attire, etc. I can see how London would be
