Culture As Hybridity 21:06 Study of culture is to look at various theories of culture as they’ve developed over  the last 100 years. Cultural studies is not so much a subject but a bibliography Dominated theory classes for the last generation at least Hybritiy describes the nature of the world in post modern and global contexts. Refers to the creation of new transcultural forms within the contact zone  produced by colonization, decolonization, immigration, and transfer of  populations.  Takes many forms: cultural, political, linguistic. Immigration Population shifts Other movements of population that have descried the world in the  Pidgeon and creole are linguistic examples. Pidgeon are languages that are constructed out of contact between 2 groups  that don’t share a language. Creole is Domestication of a pidgeon language that becomes a first language
