An SRS Example The Vitamin C Foundation says that taking vitamin C at the first sign of a cold or a flu can make it go away quicker. A subject has to begin taking at least 8000 mg of vitamin C every 20 minutes for 3 to 4 hours until bowel tolerance. Then they would take smaller dosages of 2000 to 4000 mg every 4-6 hours for ten days to prevent recurrence. An experimenter wanted to test this experiment with 50 subjects who have a cold to see if this does work. A design of this experiment would be the following: Group 1 Treatment 1 50 subjects starting 25 subjects Vitamin C Compare to have a cold Group 2 Treatmen t 2 Results 25 subjects Placebo We have a list of 50 subjects willing to try out this experiment. To see which ones is actually taking the vitamin C, first label each subject: 00 Smith 10 Anderson 20 Clark 30 Wright 40 Mitchell 01 Johnson 11 Thomas 21 Rodriguez 31 Lopez 41 Perez 02 Williams 12 Jackson 22 Lewis 32 Hill 42 Roberts 03 Jones 13 White 23 Lee 33 Scott
