Heymann, James, Control of Communicable Disease Manual , 18 th edition, 2004, APHA. Additional handouts will be provided as needed. Grading: Exam 1 20% Midterm 30% Exam 2 20% Final 30% A = 92 – 100 B+ = 88 – 91 B = 82 – 87 C+ = 78 – 81 C = 70 – 77 D = 60 – 69 F = 0 – 59 Grading is based on performance on two exams, a midterm and a final examination. The midterm and final examinations are cumulative. Attendance and class participation are expected. All materials covered by the texts, videos, special readings, websites and lectures are to be expected on the examinations. Examination clashes must be discussed with the TA in advance of the scheduled testing date. If there is serious illness or an emergency on the day of an exam, contact Mr. Breen immediately. Failure to make alternative arrangements prior to a quiz or exam will result in a 0 for that quiz or exam. There are no makeup exams for unexcused absences.
