Unformatted text preview: Michael Bustin Extra Credit Movie #2 I thought the movie Baraka was very interesting, and showed the diversity of the world and its people and culture. I enjoyed how it highlighted the four corners of the globe. From the tropical rainforest of Southeast Asia and South America to modernized cities and factories of the Western Hemisphere, the movie reflected on how diverse the planet Earth is. The comparison of the cities to old historical landmarks like Angkor Wat and the pyramids at Giza was also a theme of the movie, showing the preservation of the world wonders as well as the development of There were a couple of interesting things that were put into the movie. The first thing that really caught my eye was the different religious and cultural rituals that are performed throughout the globe. Some groups that were highlighted were Muslims making their hajj to Mecca and praying devoutly in a mosque.
