Connor Billing February 28, 2011 Dr. Spangler Developmental Psychology in “Yo Ho, Food To Go” Disney’s installation of a new segment of kids television shows provided me with a plethora of shows to choose from to watch. One of their shows that first aired February 14, 2011 is called “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.” In general the show is about four friends, who are constantly in conflict with Captain Hook and his friend Smee. These four friends are called Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully. In this particular episode, that aired on February 17, 2011, the four friends were trying to have a nice picnic on the beach but Captain Hook and Smee stole their food and tried to run away and eat it. Throughout this short episode, Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully chase Captain Hook and Smee around the island trying to get their food back. In the end they are successful and enjoy their food. This show was definitely directed towards children in their early childhood. It is obvious throughout the show that the four friends are involved in co-operative play; playing together and
