The citizens in America made their country sound very appealing that more people would come to America, and then more people would be able to work. The life of an indentured servant is almost as bad as any other slave. They are treated as if they arent human. The slaves could even be traded and sold, as if they were objects. They were brought to America on ships and sometimes there were hundreds of slaves on every ship, packed together in extreme conditions. They were given barely enough food and water to survive the voyage, and a large amount of the slaves died on the way there, never having made it off of the ship. When the slaves got off of the ships, their lives were just as harsh. They were expected to work long hours outside, without breaks, and with very small amounts of food.
