John Malloy HON181 Reflection #6 Recently, the “scariest” thing I’ve done is attend the swing dancing club. Though for some people it may seem silly for this to be a “scary” place, it’s definitely something that made me uncomfortable going in. Anyone that knows me well would tell you that I am in no way a dancer by nature. I’m a rather reserved and introverted person, so for me to do something like this goes against my personality. In all honesty, I would never have done it if I didn’t have several friends going with me. At first when they talked to me about it, I didn’t think it was something I could, or would, ever do, but after a bit of convincing I agreed to go to one. The thing that was the deciding factor in getting me to go was that one my friends that is similar to me in personality agreed to go too. Without this base group of friends that went with me, I never would have even considered going. This makes me wonder how many of my current activities and hobbies started this same way.
