GPS: Global Positioning System Introduction As we know that technologies have changed the shape of the world over a decade. We humans are taking the benefits of technologies every single day from brushing teeth to driving a car. One of the powerful portable devices that we often use is GPS. It is a satellite based global navigation system made up of 24 satellites, which provides step-by- step locations and global time to users. It is a system in which a GPS receiver wirelessly connected to satellite-system to process the location descriptions. In 1980s, the government of the United States invented GPS in order to use it for military purpose, but later, the government allows public to freely access to the satellite by using GPS receiver.
