Cameron Hartman Hartman 1 ENG 150-060 11/18/08 Carol Deulroo Paper Number 3. Dr. Tim Kane and Dr. Kirk Johnson, authors of “The Real Problem with Immigration... and the Real Solution,” expound upon the problem of illegal immigration, and potential solutions. The author's start by saying the problem of lack of secure boarder's makes terrorism easy on scale, and that continuing to do nothing about our boarders wont work. The author's say that the key to boarder security is to offer incentives, which is the “key to success”. He goes on to talk about the enormity of the problem and the (not so good) outlook on the future of the problem He says this is “not an economic problem, but a security problem.” They go on to say that we must craft an excellent guest worker program if we seek success. They pointed out that if anything, illegal immigrants boost the economic output by offering cheap labor to struggling farmers.
