Energy savings Lane Community College (LCC) in Oregon  savings generated from energy upgrades and recycling paid for all  but $11,000 of the college’s $255,483 sustainability budget in FY  2007. Waste reduction Delta College (Michigan)   Since 1991, saved $200,000 on tipping fees with waste reduction  Local businesses provided recycling containers,  in exchange for  logo placement.  Won national award for green cleaning program. By switching to  environmentally-friendly but more expensive cleaning products,  went from using two cleaners to one, resulting in a net savings.  Community College Times Examples of Greening Initiatives 9/2/2009 6 Greening CCP
