3 Healthy eating is very important when it comes to my overall health. Healthier eating is as way of balancing the food that I intake to live a healthier life. It can also be very hard at times to maintain healthy eating habits. As a mother, I have noticed that I do not maintain the correct eating habits because of my kids. Whenever they eat I tend to usually eat whatever they eaten. The meals that I prepare for them are usually fast and easy and have a lot of calories. There have been many times that I have tried different diets and they tend to fail. I have not had the energy that I had in my younger days. I have realized that my eating habit needs improvement. A healthy eating plan will help me feel great, have more energy, and live a healthier life. I recently completed a three day diet analysis, and based on the results from the My Pyramid Tracker, my eating habits are not very healthy. My daily diet is missing fruits and vegetables, and in order to maintain a healthy diet, I need to add these to my daily intake. With the exception of my fruit and vegetable intake, my diet was very close to the recommended for most of the pyramid categories. My milk intake was equivalent to 1.3 cups, 3 cups is recommended. My meat and beans intake was equivalent to 5.3 oz, 6 oz is recommended. My vegetable intake was equivalent to .3 cups, 3 cups is recommended. My fruit intake was equivalent to 0 cups, 2 cups is recommended. My grains intake was equivalent to 5.2 oz, 7 oz is recommended.
