Excellent skills in algebra, calculus and probability. Willing to learn to use: statistical packages such as MINITAB and mathematical software such as MATLAB. Email List The entire class (plus instructor) can be sent email by sending out a single email to [email protected] but please make sure to Cc: the TA. Objective Develop tools and techniques based on probability theory that would aid in characterizing un- certainty in engineering decisions such as in optimal design (strategic decisions) and optimal control (operational decisions) of stochastic systems.
