Assignment 1: Possible Revision #1 To: Saint Mary’s Distribution List From: [email protected] Date: May 9, 2011 Subject: Recommendations for Protecting your Valuables Due to the numerous thefts of personal belongings on campus in March and April, here are some suggestions that will help you protect your valuables. More than 20 textbooks were stolen from backpacks that were left in the unmonitored storage cubicles in front of the Dockside Dining Hall. To avoid this risk, take your backpacks with you or store them in a safe place such as a locker. Purchase a laptop cable that locks your computer to table or desk. Always lock your room doors and take your keys with you. Always ensure exterior doors on campus are closed. These recommendations will help protect your belongings and reduce theft. If you have any questions regarding these suggestions or information on stolen or found items, contact University Security at 420-5577 or at [email protected] . Sincerely,
