COURSE DESCRIPTION: A study of accounting issues pertaining to partnerships: formation, operation, and liquidation; accounting for business combinations, and preparation of consolidated financial statements. PREREQUISITE: ACCT 305. SEMESTER: Fall 2011. REQUIRED TEXTS: 1. Beams, Anthony, Clement, and Lowensohn, Advanced Accounting, Custom Edition, 2009, Prentice- Hall. 2. Lecture Notes, I-Drive. CLASS MEETINGS: T, 5::05 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. from August 30, 2011 to December 6, 2011. Class will meet once a week for one two and half hour session for 14 weeks. Each class session will be divided into two class periods with a short break in between. Class attendance is required. TEACHING METHOD: Lecture, Discussion, and Problem Solving.
