MACROECONOMICS Course Title: PRINCIPLES OF MACROECONOMICS Course Code : FIS 102 Credit unit/ length : 4/12 sessions Lecturer: MA. Ly Hai Anh ( [email protected]/ 0988844388) Tutor: MA. Ly Hai Anh I. COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course was designed to provide students the vital concepts necessary in understanding the behavior of the whole economy with respect to national output, income, price level, foreign trade and other aggregate economic variables. It covers a wide array of macroeconomic principles intended to improve the student’s analytical skills and factual knowledge in dealing critically with the problems and issues of the complex economic system. II. COURSE OBJECTIVES: The subject aims to provide students with a background in macroeconomics and attempts to relate these principles to the economic environment of Vietnam. Whilst introducing students to the theories and principles of macroeconomics, the course subject will emphasize on the practical application of that principles to emerging macroeconomic issues of today. III. EXPECTED OUTCOMES: At the end of the semester, students should be able to: 1. Evaluate the economic issues and behavior of the country using basic principles of macroeconomics. 2. Analyze various economic policies in the world and VN and understand its implications at the national and local level. 3. Identify emerging economic trends in the regional and global arena and assess the possible effects in the domestic economy. 4.
