Student’s Name 2 The Use of Gardasil 9 (HPV Vaccine) Technology in Treatment of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Abstract Recent improvements in technology that is used in medicine have not only enhanced medical procedures effectiveness but have also helped in shaping medical research that has resulted in development of new medicine. Human papilloma (HPV) is one of the sexually transmitted infections that have been attributed to cervical cancer among women. Treatment of the disease has been one of the major problems in the past years. However, the recent discovery of the Gardasil 9 (HPV vaccine) a medicine vaccine that is used to prevent and cure human papillomavirus, the risks of contracting this sexually transmitted infection has reduced drastically. This paper looked at the biological basis of using this vaccine technology, biological limitations or problems that may result from the use of the technology, efficacy, and feasibility of the technology. The paper also looks at the ethical, legal and provides personal opinion on the use of technology to prevent and treat HPV. A future perspective on the use of technology in prevention and treatment of HPV is also provided in the paper. The paper concludes that the use of Gardasil 9 (HPV vaccine) technology in prevention and treatment of human papillomavirus is viable and effective and it should continue to be used in the future not only to prevent the disease but reduce cervical cancer among women.
