Name: Hunter Lucas Date: June 24, 2020 Nichole Nakadate 6th Grade Social Studies - Economics of Latin America Mrs. Nakadate begins by telling students about the lesson agenda and gives students an opportunity to prepare mentally for the content of the lesson. This is especially important when carrying over content from a previous lesson. Make note, though, that a lesson agenda is not the same as the learning objective. 1. What 3 things did Mrs. Nakadate do that provided structure for her students' peer collaboration time? She provides the students with three questions to discuss within their groups. She then reminds them to stay on topic, to explain the “why” behind their thinking and allows them three minutes to collaborate with each other. 2. Watch Mrs. Nakadate's interaction with groups. How does she utilize questioning to engage students and stimulate higher levels of cognition related to GDP vs. GDP per capita? She helps them better understand capital GDP by utilizing her questioning. She guides them in the direction to get the right answer without giving them the answers. She asked the students question to get them to think deeper.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
