It is the opposing force to hydrostatic pressure. The pressure exerted by blood against the wall of a capillary is called capillary hydrostatic pressure (CHP) 2 Question #2: What is the importance of colloid osmotic pressure in regulating fluid balance? displaces water molecules therefore creating a relative water molecule deficit with water molecules moving back into the circulatory system within the lower venous pressure end of capillaries. In other words, the osmotic pressure tends to pull fluid into the capillaries. 3 Question #3: What color is the solution in the tubing? purple 4 Question #4: What color is the solution in the beaker? brown 5 Question #5: Explain the significance of the colors in each solution. What does this tell us about the permeability of the dialysis tubing? dialysis tubing is selective in its permeability to molecules. 6 Question #6: Was there a change in solution volume between the dialysis tubing and the water beaker? Why or why not; in your answer please discuss the forces responsible for the result.
