PAMPERS MARKETING MIX 2 Pampers Marketing Mix Pampers disposable babies diapers is the product chosen for this assignment. Disposable diapers have become common in the twenty-first century, implying that the product may be unfamiliar to people that were born before then and have not nursed any children. However, the product has been familiarized by frequent commercials over TVs, over the Internet, and on social media platforms. The commercial on the link ( ? v=D98pEQSLY7M ) provides a perfect picture of how advertising and marketing have acquainted the product to the public, making it a global brand. Evaluating the marketing mix of the Pampers will shed more light regarding the broad market that the brand relates to. Pampers is designed to keep babies healthy and comfortable while enhancing the convenience of the mother or caregiver. The product has a layered construction that allows the distribution and transfer of liquid from a kid to the absorbent core of the diaper ("What’s in a Pampers Diaper?" 2018). The liquid is locked at the absorbent core so that the baby remains dry, warm, and comfortable. Interestingly, despite the superior qualities of the diaper, Pampers is unfamiliar to many people, especially the baby boomers that have not had an opportunity to raise children or choose to uphold conservatism and prefer using reusable diapers in nursing children. Besides, there are numerous brands of disposable diapers that the consumer can chooses from and hence, the unfamiliarity of the Pampers brand. Pampers is a product of Procter & Gamble consumer company, commonly abbreviated as (P &G). P&G is an American company that deals with consumer goods that are grouped into several segments, among them beauty products grooming, healthcare, family care, and baby care. The company also introduced Pampers pants, absorbent underwear, swim diapers, and wipes in the children's care category. Pampers diapers brand fit in the P&G product portfolio very well. As seen above, P&G deals with home care, family care, and grooming products. Children form a primary part of the family and, therefore, a product that targets kids blends well with other products that are offered by the company. Besides, the disposable diapers reinforce the grooming aspect of the company, thereby reinforcing its mission statement of improving the lives of the world's consumers now and in the future through provision of quality products.
