What perceptions of Marx have you been exposed to in your society, and how do those perceptions influence your views?Karl Marx’s theory on capitalism is a great contribution to sociology and a welcoming idea for economic struggle and liberation. According to the theory, the Industrial Revolution and the rise of capitalism had led to a massive increase in the wealth of society but also massive disparities in wealth and power between the owners of the factories (the bourgeoisie) and workers (the proletariat).
