Axia College Material Appendix D TV Character Evaluation Part I Write a summary of 350-700 words identifying the contributions of Freud, Jung, and Rogers. Freud, Jung, and Rogers were psychologists that had a major impact on the world of psychology. The three psychologists had different theories on the mind they had some similar ideas also and supported the ideas on unconscious state of mind and personality. Sigmund Freud had his own view on psychology and the unconscious minds ability to direct a person’s behavior. Freud had the idea that human behavior could be broken down into three kinds of instincts or drives the id, ego, and superego. The ego is the functions consciously and unconsciously and controls thinking and reasoning. The id consists of all the unconscious urges and desires that seek expression. The superego is the conscious ability to make decisions with moral standards. Freud also came up with the idea of psychosexual development and the five stages involved with it.
