Derek Hull TER #10 “A National Curriculum” 03/30/10 EDT 190 Section A TER #10 The TER for this week is about whether or not the United States should have a national curriculum. This issue seems to follow with the idea of high stakes testing and accountability. I think that a national curriculum would be a good idea. I think that it would help to equalize the education that students are getting. I also think that it would help the teachers be able to better prepare for their classes and give their best effort to the students. In terms of the students, it would equalize education by holding every school to the same standards. It would not allow some schools to lower standards or leave out some key ideas in education. This would help to ensure that every student would have the same basic knowledge and skills if they graduate from high school. I am not saying that everyone would be at the same level of skill, but every student would have to have the same working knowledge of the skill across the nation.

What students are saying

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
