Materials: Required Text: Elementary Algebra . Bittinger, Ellenbogen  Online: iLearn:  https://ilearn.sfsu.edu  – notices, grades and some  assignments will be posted on here. MyMathLab:  http://www.coursecompass.com .  All students are  required to sign up for access. Assignments and study guides will  be posted there.  Overview: Algebra is a language used to represent mathematical relationships. The purpose of Algebra I is  to introduce the use and rules of this language and develop your skills in working in the  language.  By the end of the course you are expected to be able to:
