Ahn Kidd Pivot Performance Response After attending Wallace Shawn’s reading as my previous performance, I was immediately struck by the different demographics of the audience at the Kidd Pivot performance. Being 20 years old, I felt much more in my element as I walked down the aisle to find my seat being surrounded by a much more young and hip crowd. It looked to be as though there wasn’t a person above 35 years old in the audience. Having no previous knowledge of Kidd Pivot or Crystal Pite, the performance began for me as I sat in my somewhat comfortable Royce Hall seat, waiting for the lights to dim and the curtain to rise. Further observing the young, hip, artsy crowd and overhearing their conversations, it wasn’t hard to pick up that Kidd Pivot was a very respected dance group on an international level.
