Unformatted text preview: Seth Marcus Theatre 120 Chris Morrison Urinetown Review Urinetown: The Musical, a self proclaimed “bad musical,” or at least according to its narrator, However, I would disagree. I found Urinetown: The Musical to be witty, creative and very funny. One of the most impressive aspects of the show was the intricate 2 level stage. I was impressed even before the show started. The tunnels to the sewer system appear to be 8 foot concrete tubes, the tube on the left side of the stage mechanically opened when at urine good company, or UGC for short. The actors really took advantage of the stage, utilizing all levels, entering and exiting from all over the stage, including taking a very convincing fall from a hole located on the top of the set. The song composition in this show was creative, funny, and oddly inspiring. They included songs such as: It’s a privilege to pee, Don’t be the bunny, and Run Freedom Run. included songs such as: It’s a privilege to pee, Don’t be the bunny, and Run Freedom Run....
