Homework Assignment 14 – Due Wednesday, July 6. In this assignment, we are going to re work some of the problems from the previous two assignments with which a number of students had some difficulty and/or on which the results were less than desirable. A couple of notes: 1. When using “modules” – label all module pins within the module symbol and label all function variables on the wires outside the modules. See Figure 4.34 for example. Also, when using modules, do not draw their gate level circuits – use the module schematic symbol. 2. Study the related examples in Chapter 4 before starting the problem, and use a similar format for your solutions. Problems: 1. Design a 5 to 32 decoder circuit, using only 3 to 8 decoder modules and no additional gates or inverters. The 3 to 8 decoder modules each have a single enable input, E. Assume all module inputs and outputs to be active high signals. (Reference – Figure 4.7) 2. Design a logic circuit for a five
