(EOA) Color Elements of Art Basic visual symbols in the language of Art. Visual building blocks put together to create a work of art. Color (EOA) Color An element of art that is derived from reflected light. Light waves are reflected from object to your eyes. A red apple reflects the red light waves and absorbs all of the other colors. Color Spectrum : Found in a rainbow or when white light passes through a prism. Always appear in the same order - ROYGBV. ROYGBV Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet Color Wheel The spectrum is bent into a circle. Examine Color Wheel for Color Definitions and Color Schemes. Hue - name of a spectral color Primary Colors: Can’t be made from any other color. Blue Red Yellow Secondary Colors: Two primary colors mixed together. Violet Green Orange Red & Yellow
