CALCULUS III – MAC 2313.07 – FALL 2006 Instructor: Barry Griffiths Office Location: MAP 115 E-mail: [email protected] Class Time and Location : TR 3:30 – 5:20pm, MAP 108 Textbook: Calculus (fifth edition), by Stewart (available in the bookstore) Quizzes: A short quiz will be given during eight of the lectures. They will be of a similar standard to the homework questions assigned. Homework: Homework assignments will be given during each lecture, and will be used as the basis for the quizzes. Exams: There will be three midterm exams and a comprehensive final exam. Calculators: Calculators may not be used during the exams and quizzes. Grade Policy: The three midterm exams, the final exam, and the quizzes will all contribute 20% towards your final grade. Grades will generally be awarded according to the following scale: A : 90-100% B : 80-89% C : 70-79% D : 60-69% F : 0-59% Attendance: It is essential that you attend all lectures. Evidence of excessive absences may be used in the assignment of course grades. Excused absences (death in the family, medical problems, official UCF functions etc.) for exams and quizzes will not hurt your
