Poetry - Example: Joyful Noise Ideas and feelings expressed through words that rhyme or have rythm. Plays - Example: Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Plays are scripts to acted out. Picture Books - Books for children were both words and pictures tell the story. Traditional Literature Ancient stories and poems that are usually fantasy about different lands and cultures like myths, legends, fables. They can involve magic, beasts and can be funny. Modern Fantasy - Example - The Giver The story could not possibly happen in the real world that are written by known authors and can be science fiction, talking animals, talking toys, superpowers, etc. Realistic Fiction - Example - Rules and Kira-Kira
