1 Course Title and Number: Foundations of American Education PTE 3023 Assignment: Analysis and Application of Societal Factors: One Practice to Improve Student Learning in This Classroom Course and Electronic Portfolio Artifact—Submit on PASS-PORT under Classroom Analysis—Due_______ DO NOT SUBMIT THE RUBRIC ON PASS-PORT Task Description: The Classroom Analysis artifact requires the teacher candidate to create one instructional strategy that will facilitate student learning within the learning environment of his or her current field experience classroom. The teacher candidate bases his/her instructional strategy on one appropriate standard and one appropriate objective from the Oklahoma Core Curriculum (PASS) and collected classroom data. Task Directions: The Teacher Candidate will create one instructional strategy which will facilitate student learning within the learning environment of your current field experience classroom based on the Oklahoma Core Curriculum (PASS) and previously collected classroom data. Using your content knowledge, your current field experience, and selected class data, compose an essay which describes one instructional strategy you would implement to facilitate student learning within the learning environment of your current field experience classroom. Use class data and the appropriate PASS Standard and PASS Objective to create a complex instructional strategy for use in this classroom. This assignment addresses only your current semester field experience classroom. The instructional strategy must be for one class only and not for the school. In addition, the instructional strategy cannot involve the use of any idea which would cost additional funds. You cannot “add personnel” nor can you purchase “additional materials” in order to create an instructional strategy for this class. Format Directions: Heading: There is no cover page for this assignment. Center the following information on the front page. Type, single space, Classroom Analysis on the first line. Name on the second line. Foundations of American Education, PTE 3023 on the next line. Date on the next line. And CRN number on the next line. Double-space after heading information and begin. Double space between Part I(Class Data) and Part II(PASS) and use bullets for selected data. Part III –Instructional Strategy Essay--Double space again and double-space essay.
