Base on our knowledge we think the Adaptive Structuration Theory (AST) would be suitable because this theory literally help us to understand the type of structure which has been provide by the advance technologies and also the structure that actually appear when human being manoeuvre as people interact with technologies. When we look into the given case it’s about a group of journalist who are doing the write up being at home safely but the photographers are risking their lives to get the clips during this covid-19 this leads to a misunderstanding between the group members. The Adaptive Structuration Theory was developed by Marshall Scott Poole to study how group’s use information technology to solve their issues and complete their tasks. Basically the structuration means neither to help an individual to understand their patterns of behaviour nor the structures of their social system. More specifically it is described as “the process by which systems are produced, reproduced and transformation of social environments through member’s use of rules and resources” (R.West & L.H. Turner 2010, p.261). Let’s put it simple this theory helps the group to establish rules, achieve cohesiveness, utilize resources, accomplish targeted goals and adapt over time to sustain a group or organization.
