Kimberly Bennett In reading the passage, “8 Secrets to a Knockout business Presentation,” I read the
passage in 3 minutes and in calculating the words-per-minute, I read an average of a 196 words
per minute. In summarizing this passage I’ve learned:
• Do extensive research • Do not over do it in using bullet points • Practice your delivery • Do not be comical, always be professional • Do not overdo it with props • Do not focus on oneself • Do not over-do-it with big words • Use simple slides My approach to reading this text was to read and attain as much information possible but within
a short time. I waited until my girls were off to school and where there would be no
interruptions. My setting was quiet and without any interruptions. Before school began, I did
most of my work in the middle of the night, for I’m up and they are asleep and it was normally
the best time to finish with no interruptions. ...
