Bateman Annotated Bibliography Bateman, Robert L., No Gun Ri, A Military History of the Korean War Incident,  Stackpole Books, 2002 In 1999, the Associated Press ran an untold story of American atrocities during  the initial weeks of the Korean War.  Using testimony from Korean civilians and  American soldiers, who were involved in the incident, the AP set forth a firestorm  of interest about the massacre at No Gun Ri.  Several books and television news  documentaries brought forth actions by American soldiers in an extremely  negative light.  Robert Bateman began his book trying to go beyond what  happened at No Gun Ri, and to find out why.  As the author dug deep into his  research he unraveled major flaws in the AP version. No Gun Ri is a serious attempt by a military officer to apply his professional trade  to tell the story of an unprepared American military during its initial involvement in  Korea.  The audience for which this book is intended is a broad spectrum of the
