The speech on Oprah was very interesting yet confusing at the same time. After talking about how much influence Oprah has on the American people and how she’s looked up to as a god, I had mixed feelings. I couldn’t tell if the speaker was really a fan of Oprah, or just overwhelmingly obsessed with the affect Oprah has on America. It seemed most likely that she doesn’t like Oprah, but loves making fun of the American people because of their stupidity. The American people are so hooked on Oprah that they often listen to Oprah like they belong to her cult. I don’t think Oprah is an idiot because of where she’s gotten herself, but she certainly doesn’t deserve to be worshiped or deserve a cult following. The book seems to carry many interesting points that show how silly Oprah can be to grasp the attention of the American people. For example, her book club makes everyone enjoy books without having to read them. This allows more viewers to tune in, even if the points made from these books are invalid or
