Unformatted text preview: Main Problem I KEA’s inventory and distribution systems lack the innovative technology require to provide efficient productivity to the company. This results in an ineffective supply chain management towards domestic and international companies worldwide. Problem 1: Product placement Long queues cause the misplacing of products that leads to customer’s problems and decreased revenues. Some products can be too big or difficult for customers to handle. With long lines, customers become impatient and frustrated leading to a loss of sale and poor reviews. Solution 1: There should be additional monthly training for employees to increase their knowledge of the store and the products so that they are able to answer any questions from the customer. Hi ring trained professionals to 1 handle products that are too heavy or difficult will positively affect I KEA’s customer satisfaction and service quality. Problem 2: Self- service difficulties Due to the size and complexity of I KEA, customers spend a lot of time searching for the right product. Since there is no organized direction for the customer, they will become lost and frustrated with the store. Solution 2: IKEA should establish multiple information kiosks equipped with RFID technology to provide customers with readily available information about the product that is inquired.
