(Sutton, Pincock, Baumgart, Sadowski, Fedorak, Kroeker, 2020) Also the drug dispensing systems and bar code point of care medication administration systems has shown that good efficacy for these systems in reducing errors. There is significant evidence that CDSs for medication alerts or reminders can positively impact process of care outcomes and CDSs relatedto medication dosing assistants were most likely to impact patient outcomes. ( Jia, Zhang, Chen., Zhao., Zhang, 2016)CDSs can increase adherence to clinical guidelines. Guidelines can be encoded directly into Clinical Decision Support Systems, increasing provider’s compliance. CDSs can take a variety of forms, from standardized order sets for a targeted case, alerts to a specific protocol for the patients it pertains to,reminders for testing, etc. Furthermore, CDSs can assist with managing patients,tracking and placing
