-Leydig cells scattered between seminiferous tubules produce androgens (testosterone) -located in scrotum, keeps testes cooler -are internal during gestation and descend just before birth Path of sperm -seminiferous tubules - coiled tubes of epididymis (20 days) where sperm become motile & can fertilize -ejaculation propels sperm from epididymis to vas deferens (behind urinary bladder) -each vas deferens joins from seminal vesicle to form ejaculatory duct -ejaculatory duct urethra -urethra drains both reproductive and excretory systems
