He was expecting a single product. Draw its structure. b) Would the product be different if a small base such as NaOH was used instead? Explain. c) Upon completion of the experiment, he obtained the desired product but also obtained two other elimination products including a very stable tetrasubstituted alkene. Draw them along with the intermolecular rearrangement than led to their formation.
