Title: By Sara Martinson Specific Purpose: To narrate and persuade to my audience that even our home towns can be a mission field and our calling. Thesis: One lady’s heart wrenching story explains the importance of not taking each day for granted because it can all change in a heartbeat and our duty to help our neighbors in their time of need. Organizational Pattern: Narrative, Persuasive I. Introduction A. It was a chilly day in October and we had a car full. Seven of us piled into the suburban that followed down the windy, narrow roads. There was not much left to the steps leading up to the front door of the house but it didn’t matter, no one was living there anymore. No one could live there for on the front door was a big sign that read “This house has been condemned.” Around back we found the owners of the house. Our leader met with the short, middle aged, white haired woman who appeared tired, sad and stressed. It was obvious that the condition of her house was taking a toll
