Features of Private Payer and CDHP An individual can decide on before picking Private payers or Consumer-Driven Health Plans in several varieties of insurance. Private payers have plans such as PPO’s, HMO’s, and Group HMO’s, IPA’s, POS’s, Indemnity, and Consumer-Driven Health Plans are fee-for-service plans because a buyer has the alternatives to put together his or her own plan depending on his or her monetary circumstances. Private Payer Plans Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) is a discounted fee-for-services. Private plans have different types of plans and products. Customers pay a yearly payment and a deductible. At time of services, co-pays are required. The annual deductible comes out of pocket. Customers require a recommendation for pre-authorizations to see a physician out of network, or the deductible can be high. A better option for consumers is staying in-network. Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) is licensed by the state. HMO is a low cost and has strict guidelines along with less provider choices. The customer has to choose a doctor within the network. The person paying supplies a primary care physician and has to continue to stay within network-covered services. If the individual should need to see a specialist, the physician
