The Big Picture Central Idea: Student Code of Academic Integrity Intentional or unintentional representation of another's words or ideas as one's own in an academic exercise. Submission of work that has been prepared for a different course without fair citation of the original work and prior approval of faculty. Plagiarism-The exact copy of information from a source w/o proper use of quotation marks or block quotation formatting, paraphrasing w/o acknowledgment, presenting work that has been done by someone other than one's own self, or failure to properly cite and reference sources. Self-plagiarism, double dipping, or dovetailing- Students who submit assignments that were previously submitted.
