We will look at applications of cost data to business decisions, performance evaluation planning and control. PREREQUISITES: The prerequisite for ACCT 2332 is ACCT 2331 with a grade of C or better including knowledge of compound interest and present value REQUIRED TEXT with Course Compass MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING (custom edition) by Braun, (Pearson, 2011) including Course Compass. This text is available at campus bookstores: ISBN 1256159727 If you took Acct 2331 at Bauer College in Spring 2011 or Summer 2011 and purchased FINANCIAL AND MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING custom edition for University of Houston this text is already included and your course compass registration from Spring or Summer 2011 is valid for this course. (you do not need another code or book) In order to receive a Course Compass code you must either already own or purchase a new textbook or you may alternatively purchase the code with e-book at a lower price directly from Course Compass (instructions for this option will be posted on Blackboard). REQUIRED EQUIPMENT 1. CLICKER for Class participation and bonus. The clicker is available for purchase at all three bookstores. Course Compass : This resource, packaged with your textbook, is required for completing homework assignments , and is also a useful study aide including guided solutions to end of chapter exercises. Your registration code to access Course Compass is included in your textbook packet. Use this code to register by going to the Course Compass Course # that I will provide to you before class starts and clicking on “register.” Once registered you can log in any time at www.coursecompass.com TUTORING LAB: Instructional Assistants will be available in the Tutoring Lab (Room 133 Melcher Hall ) to answer questions, help you with problems in the text and to enable you to review exam results.
