Which speech did you watch? I watched President Ronald Regan’s speech during a debate with President Jimmy Carter on Military issues. What body language did the speaker use to make the speech persuasive? He kept a strong and stern pasture during his entire speech. Provide an example. He did not sway back an fourth, he stood tall and confident. Would a written version be less persuasive? Why or why not? No, I do not think so. The way he looked into the camera and the tone he had in voice could not be recaptured in writing. How may a writer create a persuasive message without body language? He or she would have to choose their words wisely, choose the right tone, and make sure they know their audience. What word choice and tone did the speaker use? He used a firm, strong, and sincere tone. His word choice went along with his topic and the point he was trying to get across. What was the effect? He was elected President of the United States
