HRM
Question 1Effective teams can subsequently lead to an increase in employee motivationand productivity in business. There may be differences in a team and an ordinaryworkgroup. Effective workgroups are mainly for the members to make decisions andshare critical information so that each member can achieve their individual work goals. As a matter of fact, teamwork is important in an organisation as it provides theemployees with an opportunity to develop a strong bond with one another. This can helpin improving relations among them (Ryan, 2019).Moreover, teamwork enhances the accountability of every member of the team, in thecontext of an organisational functioning system. Thus, business organisations thatorganise their workers in teams can very well improve their level of productivity, which inturn helps them in identifying a new set of approaches when it comes to achieving thegoals of the company (Horrocks et al., 2018).An appropriate way for a business to organize employees is by the process offorming teams. A team comprises of two or more people who are working togethertowards the attainment of a common set of goals. Teams provide an alternative to avertical chain of command. On the other hand, teams articulate an inclusive approach tothe various organisations operating in the business world (Blanchard, 2018).A team can have distinctive traits from that of an ordinary or effective group workingtowards the achievement of a common goal or objective. The workgroups mainlycomprise of members to share information and make decisions so that each membercan attain their individual work goals. However, in the case of a team, the teammembers not only share information but at the same time share responsibility for the
team’s cause. Hence, the main idea behind teams is the concept of synergy in whichthe members can accomplish more together than they could on their own (Malik, 2018).Thus, an effective team must include members who are having the right blend of skillsand talents for the purpose of getting the work done. The team members need tounderstand and accept the team’s goals and respective roles. In other words, they musthave a clear and well-defined purpose regarding the team’s role and their respectiveroles in the team (Blanchard, 2018). Additionally, the team should practice opencommunication methods in which the team members should play a proactive role whenit comes to valuing diverse viewpoints and opinions which encourages an open andhealthy constructive discussion. The team members must feel a sense of belongingness
