EE 567 Matlab Project #3 Due Date: Friday, December 4 @ 5:00p in Box #9 near EEB 104 Problem: In this project, you will generate a basic OFDM waveform and then investigate the effect of the power amplifier used in the 2 nd project on the OFDM signal quality. The main tasks for this assignment are: A. Simulate a communication link that uses OFDM waveforms with BPSK modulation in an AWGN channel environment. Unless otherwise stated, the waveform is generated by 512 subcarriers using an FFT size of 512. No cyclic prefix is required. (Use 10000 bits for BER simulations) (1) Generate the OFDM waveform for 32 bits with 16 subcarriers (using an FFT size of 512) and plot the magnitude and the phase of the transmitted waveform (use subplot()). (2) Plot the power spectral density of the transmitted waveform (using about 20 bits per allocated subcarrier) for ( i) 16 subcarriers, (ii) 128 subcarriers, (iii) 256 subcarriers, and (iv) 512 subcarriers.
