MBIO 3812 Ex 6-4 Closed-System Growth Ex 6-4 Closed-System Growth This exercise WILL BE WRITTEN UP AS A FORMAL LAB REPORT FOR GRADING . Please note that the exercise you will be doing does deviate from that given in the lab manual so these changes should be indicated in the lab report . Specific changes include the environmental conditions that were used by each group, how samples were measured in the spectrophotometer, the time interval at which samples were taken and what type of spectrophotometer was used. In this exercise one half of the lab will examine the growth of Vibrio natriegens at 37°C with shaking (aeration) while the other half will examine growth of a stationary V. natriegens culture grown at 37°C. The optical density of samples as well as the time the samples were taken will be recorded on the blackboard for each group. Data will be shared between each group and should be recorded on the worksheets provided for later inclusion in the lab report. The estimated cell concentration can be determined using the
