Can be inequality without someone wanting to create inequality or stratification Inequality results from private property in a world in which there are a ton of resources. People are suffering that dont have resources. Inequality is detrimental to society. Same as conflict theorist that challenge inequality. They want more for themselves; hording for themselves. Sees inequality as productive. Property is good because it teaches people how to be independent. Need for people to give more resources; once you give more, you want more. Gives people an incentive not to be lazy. Working towards what is needed in society. Less incline to depend on each other. Concern with over population. People being afraid the world will be over populated. Any sort of interventions he would be against, to help those in need he would be against. Let those who suffer suffer. Inequality is problematic but will run itself out. Dialecticmaster: slave. Master needs slave to do the masters work. As the master depends on the slave to do the work, the master will forget how to do what he told the slave to do. Dependent on slave, slave is dependent on master on how to teach him. Cheap labormodern day. If this was a game of monopoly, everyone is suppose to have an equal chance to be successful and plays by the rules. The winners and the losers are the ones that should be because everyone stuck by the rules. Problematic because people dont stick by the rules. Some people get to decide what the rules are; that might benefit certain people. Along with certain people that get to play the game. Ex. Americawho gets to be a citizen; Rules change: White person. Those who lie less on income and more on their wealth. Paris Hilton Does not require you to produce. Jobs where you are using your mind oppose to physical labor. Depend on income and less on wealth. Mortgage crisis. Those who are living their means. Under what is necessary; housing, food, clothing. Securitary here then secretary in NY. Intern, manager, ceo or fall down. Recession, people losing their jobs. Small business owners may be forced to work part time at a company. Hope that parents have a low scs, that children will do better than parents.
