ChE 2002, Fall 2011, HW #4, Due 09.19.11 The file Norman Oklahoma June to August Averages with 2011 Highs.txt contains temperature records for Norman Oklahoma for June, July and August from the 1940s through 2011. The data is recorded by month, day of the month, average high, average low, record high, year of the record high, record low, year of the record low, and then the 2011 high temperatures. The averages and records are based on data through 2010, and thus do not include the observations for 2011. Note that accurate temperature data has only been recorded in Norman since the 1940s, when a US Naval Air Training Bas was built on what is today called North Campus. 1. Import the data from the .txt file into an Excel spreadsheet. 2. Use the MAX(number 1, number 2,…) and MIN(number 1, number 2,…) functions to find the maximum average high, the minimum average high, the maximum record high, and the minimum record high for the pre-2011 data. Does the 2011 maximum temperature exceed the previous maximum temperature? 3.
